Cheers to new seasons..."I finally got a tan since moving here! This is the color I'm used to being." A very excited me pronounced to a friend that complemented my new deep bronze skin. Immediately after I responded someone else laughed and innocently made the comment/question "What, you haven't been outside all year?"
It took me back for a moment because I realized that, no, I haven't been sunbathing or doing things I enjoyed because I was swallowed up by grieving the realization of the trauma I had experienced over the last 3.5 years.
That season is no more! I have started dreaming, creating and journaling again! By God's grace and faithfulness to uncover lies and speak truth to my spirit and heart, I've found a reason to come out of hiding and rejoice. He sees and knows exactly what we need! All I can say is Hallelujah!
