10 years ago, we launched Michigan Funders.
My first company. My first big leap.
We were in the papers. On the panels. I even made Crain’s 20 in their 20s.
Then came the cease-and-desist letters.
The doubt. The crash. The quiet.
By the time I walked that stage and got my 20/20 lil glass trophy thingy, our company was already on its last breath.
But failure only defines you if you stop because of it.
10 years later — Crain’s 40 Under 40. And just to make sure I couldn’t try to act like it was a mistake, CDB invited me to be a featured panelist for their Power Breakfast Series: “Unlocking Innovation: Inside Detroit’s Tech Hubs and Incubators.”
Grateful to the mentors, teammates, and builders shaping Detroit’s next chapter.
