HU Staff: Ariela Anรญs @ari.anis Nearly a month after a grand jury declined to file criminal charges in Nolan Wellsโ€™ mysterious July 4 death, his parents have released nearly 300 pages of phone records and Snapchats. The documents reveal what the 18-year-oldโ€™s friends privately talked about (leading up to, during, and after his death) and what they agreed to tell the police if ever questioned. ___________________________________________________ As we previously shared, on September 21, a Mississippi grand jury revealed their decision not to file any charges in Wellsโ€™ death. They said they found no foul play and no criminal or racial motivation. Instead, the jury ruled his death was โ€œconsistent with drowning,โ€ the initial ruling found by local authorities in Horn Island. Wellsโ€™ parents, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, and their attorney, civil rights attorney Ben Crump, condemned the grand jury and district attorney. The family continued to speak out and release their own findings. This included an independent autopsy showing โ€œblunt force injuriesโ€ to the back of the teenโ€™s head and body. The independent autopsy also revealed there was no water found in his lungs, throat, or stomach โ€” which would have been consistent with a drowning as pushed by local authorities. ___________________________________________________ By September 25, Wellsโ€™ friends boldly denied deleting any messages and Snapchats from his phone and argued they would file defamation lawsuits against Ben Crump and others spreading misinformation. As Wellsโ€™ parents continue to plea for his investigation to be opened, on October 8, President Donald Trump said, โ€œWeโ€™re looking atโ€ a possible federal investigation. On Tuesday (October 13), reports began surfacing about Wellsโ€™ parents releasing his cellphone records, including private messages from 29 group chats. In the 292-page report, it show Wells friends reacting to news and speculating about his death. It also included messages about them reacting to police contacting them and what they should say โ€” like asking for an attorney. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bioย for full story ๐Ÿ“ธ Facebook / WDSU

The end of an incredible series that means the world to me. I truly cried continuously from the prologue to the epilogue and I have never wanted a HEA so bad before in my life. Toren was a highly anticipated character in the series and Peyton absolutely delivered. He is a protector to his core, while heโ€™s had no one else to call his own except for Lily, heโ€™s done what he could to keep others safe. Seeing such depth in his character and finding people who love him the way he deserves brought me such peace. Lily is a soul character for me and she means more to me than I can put into the words. The representation of her depression and how it weighed her down is one of the most painful but relatable moments Iโ€™ve read in any book by far. Sheโ€™s all fire when sheโ€™s with Toren and I loved getting to see that side of her. Her attachment to Toren and the way their hearts grew around each other was so beautiful as they navigated these messy, ugly and angry feelings they feel from being young children, teenagers, and adults. Toren deserves the world and yet was given so little to the point that he had lost hope. Lily and Toren drag themselves through the mud, dust themselves off and continue to try for one another because their love for each other was meant to be. It was beautiful to experience this angsty journey with them. These two are written in the stars and I love them so much. In every universe, itโ€™s Toren and Lily against the world. I truly cannot believe this is our final Waterfell book but I cannot imagine a better goodbye. Thank you Peyton for giving us somewhere to feel the pain but find joy and hope as well. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽจ
