Here are two songs near and dear to my heart that also highlight what I am working on vocally: dexterity and lightness in the high chest and mix voice. I’m also posting this in the spirit of progress. These are nowhere near finished products, but I’m enjoying leaning into the imperfection, as being comfortable sounding bad is the first step to being able to sing in a new way. If you really want to read too far into it, you could say my ego is the Brick and three months of frustration and vocal cracking is the Charity.
