SIK Basketball Player to Watch: Junior point guard Amyah Werth has already established herself as a key playmaker for Hillsboro High, averaging 13.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 2 steals per game last season while earning SIK All-Class honors in 2A and First Team CKL honors. Known for her quickness and court vision, Werth leads a squad loaded with returning talent, including Ella Potucek and Kingzley Ratzlaff. “I am really excited to play with the same girls this year and see how much more we can improve! I look forward to the toughness of our schedule, and I hope we can make it even further in our season than last year,” she said. Werth comes from a basketball background as her sister, Zaylee Werth, is currently playing for Mid-American Nazarene and was the Heart of American freshman of the year last year. #sportsinkansas
