This month’s Wine and Dine Dame’s journey took us to an authentic Spanish taberna. 🇪🇸🍷 At La Taberna Giralda, we gathered around Karen’s table—supporting a woman-owned restaurant that reflects her story, grit, and love for the flavors and essence of Spain. Karen curated a beautiful menu for us, beginning with light, bright pintxos and seafood, continuing into the depth of Vizcaina-style cod, and culminating in the richness of braised toro and the sweetness of Tarta de Santiago. Each dish felt like a little window into a different corner of Spain.

Having Coral Gable’s own wine educator Patrick Alexander with us made the night even more meaningful. Many of us began our wine journeys with him, and hearing him share the stories behind Spain’s ancient grapes and regions was such a gift. The pairings he carefully selected were a chef’s kiss.

As always, the heart of the night was our community—the conversations, the exchanges, the genuine connections that happen so naturally around our table. These dinners are so much more than food and wine; they’re shared experiences that stay with us.
