When I first started this project, it was just me, an acoustic guitar, a lot of isolation, and some ideas about myself that I was still unpacking.

What resulted was a collection of songs so intimate and sincere that not only am I deeply proud of them, but they continue to challenge me every day to show up as my most authentic self.

Everything I’ve done with this project so far, I’ve done because I hope — and believe — they may be able to offer the same to someone else.

Following these songs where they’ve taken me, I’ve gotten to watch them take off with a full band, which is undoubtedly one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. It’s already taken me to places including one of my favorite stages in the city (@thesunsettavern), the recording studio (@thee_studio_litho) where some of my favorite albums (@kithkinband @pearljam @theheadandtheheart) were made, and connected me with so many lovely people.

There is still, I believe, a particular magic ✨ in these songs though that comes out when they’re played a little softer, closer to their origin as private acoustic musings I put into words only for myself, heard (if at all) in their muffled way through apartment walls.

I’m wrapping up this year that I’ve gotten to play at being a rockstar, with an intimate acoustic show at @cocoalegato, and I’m so so excited for it. It will be a mix of stripped down arrangements with the full band and solo acoustic performance.

This will be our first “headlining” set, and it would mean the world to me if I could also say that it’s our first venue sellout. We’ll be joined by @laurenwithaguitar, a thoughtful songwriter with a wonderful melodic ear that you absolutely won’t want to miss.

If you’ve ever seen me perform before, whether solo or with the full rock band set up, this show both will be a little like that and a little something new. I think it will be a space where words and stories can resonate, and I’d love to share it with you.

It’s a small space, so please buy your tickets early, bring a friend, and come to a show where you don’t need earplugs and can eat chocolate 🍫 💜
