Announcing @stefalives “Born With An Extra Rib” on vinyl available for preorder now (link in bio), releases on 12/18 in partnership with @figureandgroundrecs. We are also launching our webstore to directly fulfill orders on behalf of artists with all profits going to the artist from the first sale.
STEFA* is genderless, genreless vocalist, composer, educator and multi-media performance artist born and raised in Queens, NY to Colombian immigrants. Their 2024 debut LP BORN WITH AN EXTRA RIB is an operatic biomythography for the diasporic and dysphoric, longing to find a body & a place to call home. Using an amalgamation of punk, experimental pop and classical minimalism with queer maximalist aesthetics, STEFA* takes us on a cinematic-performance ritual inviting the audience to be remade beyond colonial gender and genre where we are able to mourn who we were and clear the way for who we are to become.
