only love has gotten me this far.

love of God, love of self, and love from my community. this year was dramatic to say the very least, but through it all i’m grateful for what i learned and the challenges i faced head-on.

2025, you held my graduation, my cap, my gown, and my family’s pride. you were proof that perseverance looks like me. you carried my body through battle, as paralysis stole comfort and ease and turned ordinary days into purgatory. still, you taught me to listen to myself, care for myself, and stay motivated even when it hurt. you were not gentle, but you were honest. you showed me how to love deeply, lose deeply, and still wake up with a pulse that refuses to quiet. you watched me rise into leadership and purpose, stepping closer to the woman i’ve always claimed i would become. 2025, you were not the easiest year, but you sharpened my strength and made it undeniable. thank you for the clarity. thank you for remaking me.
