only love has gotten me this far.

love of God, love of self, and love from my community. this year was dramatic to say the very least, but through it all i’m grateful for what i learned and the challenges i faced head-on.

2025, you held my graduation, my cap, my gown, and my family’s pride. you were proof that perseverance looks like me. you carried my body through battle, as paralysis stole comfort and ease and turned ordinary days into purgatory. still, you taught me to listen to myself, care for myself, and stay motivated even when it hurt. you were not gentle, but you were honest. you showed me how to love deeply, lose deeply, and still wake up with a pulse that refuses to quiet. you watched me rise into leadership and purpose, stepping closer to the woman i’ve always claimed i would become. 2025, you were not the easiest year, but you sharpened my strength and made it undeniable. thank you for the clarity. thank you for remaking me.

I am so excited to officially invite you all to The Real Spill!🖤

Creating spaces where people can show up as themselves, feel seen, build genuine connections, and have meaningful conversations has always been something close to my heart. I believe wellness is not just about taking care of ourselves individually, but also about the communities we build and the ways we show up for one another.

That is why I am so grateful to have the opportunity to present and facilitate The Real Spill, a wellness and conversation series dedicated to nurturing Black innovators through intentional dialogue, reflection, and community.

i don’t talk too much about my PhD life on this page, so here’s a little snippet. this is my second year (girl what) and my qualifier is coming up (yay??). just got my HRG lab coat and feeling #grateful and #ready to step into the candidacy era and continue contributing to the trailblazing work that my team does in the field. i loveeeee my research and my group so much it hurts sometimes lol. this is all lil A and my twin in the sky wanted for me. tap into @dr.a_loading for more :). oh and #gocoogs by @belovedsvault
