This must have been the most difficult T-shirt to earn, ever! Throwback to June when I finally had the opportunity to attend the Ballet with Isabella Intensive workshop by @balletwithisabella, and wow, what a privilege and blessing it was. Even though I had been dancing more regularly this year, a five day intensive was quite another thing. I was sustained by prayer support and God's grace! 👆🙏

The workshop was wonderful! Everything from the exercises, to the live music, the precious feedback from Isabella & @claire.voss87, the fun of learning a new variation, all the little little details to remember, and @mydancingfeet's beautiful studio! Not to mention the lovely people I met! I love the adult dance community. Everyone is there because we just love dancing! Thank you Isabella for such an amazing experience!

But the aches were real, and more than that, the strain on my foot with the old injury was huge. The effects were cumulative. Even though I had massaged my feet every night, when I woke up on the last day I found that I could not put any weight on my injured foot at all. It was so intense I genuinely wondered whether my metatarsals were at their limits and whether the band emplaced during the lisfranc surgery was going to snap! Scooted around the house on my butt because I couldn't walk. Really wanted to dance and finish the workshop well, but couldn't dance with that pain. And here is the story of grace! My bible study friends prayed for me, and I laid it before God too. I was already thankful for the 4 days, and decided to take the 5th as a bonus. If I could dance, I would, if not, that would be ok too. I then spent the next 2 hours just gently massaging my foot as before, rubbing and kneading, again and again.

Lo and behold, two hours later, I could walk! Even then I told myself, if it got too painful, I would stop. But for the rest of that day, my foot was fine. Tired and more unstable than usual, but ok. And what really showed me it was God's grace, was that the next day there was no pain at all! I couldn't believe it! Promised myself that I would testify of His grace to me, and His blessing of keeping dance alive in my life! To God be the glory!
