Today, the final episode of Stranger Things is streaming *and screening in movie theaters* I’m overjoyed to share that I had the pleasure of working on the score as an assistant to the amazing Michael Stein during the second half of this final season, and as studio technician and engineer for Michael on the first half. Jimmy the Studio Dog also helped immensely.
Tonight, I can’t wait to see the finale at one of my favorite old Hollywood theaters, the Egyptian.
Michael is a gifted, patient, kind, and generous artist, as well as an amazing and innovative synthesist. After years of being around plenty of impressive collections that were rarely pushed to their full potential, it was refreshing to see someone truly use these magical musical tools in an inspiring, carefully designed space. I enjoyed working closely with him to add even more synths and controllers into his template and further integrate his space.
The entire music team is extraordinarily talented and experienced, and I learned a lot. It was genuinely inspiring to watch everyone operating at the top of their game and to contribute my own piece of the pie.
Outside of that project, this year I made real progress on my graphic novel
@birch_wards , created an illustration for Snow Strippers, built a terrifying ceiling-swinging Xenomorph for Remy’s Alien rave with
@remy_marc and
@zacharyisnormal , helped score a vibrator commercial, built out some amazing music studios, and somehow fell back in love with Los Angeles after a million side quests with friends old and new. here’s to even weirder projects in 2026!!
