Well over a year ago Lulu ended up in the hospital at 4 months of age. It was very scary and we almost lost her. We were told that most likely she had a deformity called PRAA and would need a very invasive surgery with long recovery. I brought her home from the hospital with a box to feed her from, some awful liquid canned food and a large syringe. I immediately started developing recipes for her and just trying to strengthen and heal her. I felt very alone in trying to figure it all out but we did it and I didn’t go forward with the surgery. Today she is well and thriving. And all of this brought me to my new path of holistic animal healing. Behind all life’s challenges are gifts if we allow ourselves to see them. I really would have loved some support outside of veterinary care as I knew that I wanted to try a different path of healing and so now I can start to offer that to animals in need. I have quite a bit of studying ahead of me but already an arsenal of knowledge. #forevergrateful
