Carrie Mae Weems’ photography was such an inspiration for the cinematography of #TheManInMyBasement - stoked to have a piece of her in my home.

Perfect night right there

A routine grocery run became an unexpected internet joke after a shopper was photographed at self-checkout with several cartons of oat milk and a stack of blue boxes. The unusually specific combination prompted a humorous prediction that he was preparing for a particularly eventful evening.

The joke took another turn when someone suggested he was simply going home to enjoy a quiet glass of oat milk. The contrast between an ordinary purchase and the dramatic assumptions surrounding it is a familiar form of internet humor, where mundane situations become entertaining through exaggerated interpretations.
