I’m embarassed to admit that, but pretending it’s just who I am is what’s kept me in debt. No matter how much I’ve earned, I’ve always spent more and I have never kept track of where any of that money has gone.

This year, along with my no buy (1 item a month - of ANY kind) I’m tracking my spending and sharing a monthly run down on YouTube to both keep me accountable and inspire some of your to get a handle on your own money.

It’s not too late to learn better habits and we don’t have to write off our disorganised, head-in-the-sand ‘style’ to our starsign. Some things ARE harder for some of us but it doesn’t mean we can’t do them. I don’t want to look back at 50 and think, ‘I can’t believe I never even tried’.

Tracking your spending is such a simple step, but it can be eye-opening when you finally see where the money is actually going. You don’t have to be naturally “good with money” to build better habits—you just have to start paying attention.

Keep money front of mind and every little a day helps! You’ll soon be in a better financial position.

I use an app to track my spending. Best decision I ever made. I know where all my money is going. I'd recommend it. You Need A Budget or YNAB. Not an ad just what works for me.

I need and want to do this I’ve been far too “frivolous” but don’t know where to start

God I remember once, we were renewing our mortgage and I felt mortified telling him we were regularly £300 overdrawn and he was like ‘oh god that’s barely nothing’, pretty much normalised it!

I love how honest this is. ❤️I really think finances are one of the final taboos and it would be so helpful if we could talk more openly about them. Look forward to following your journey.

Have started doing this myself after being diagnosed with adhd at 27 last year. I realised I had lost the value of money through overconsumption. Have deleted pay laters & have been getting my credit card debt down. It’s feeling better already now I’ve broken the cycle

Will definitely be following this,I was the same.A few years back I really couldn't afford to carry on like this, because I mainly pay with my card I tried to get myself visualising handing over cash instead and whether I still wanted it.It really worked
