Idolum is a fashion commentary on the abuse of religion as a tool of power rather than for faith. What was once meant to guide compassion and moral reflection is transformed into an instrument of control, used to justify oppression against minorities, women, and LGBTQ+ communities. Through fashion as a visual language, Idolum explores how sacred symbols are idolized, distorted, and weaponized, turning belief into authority and obedience into virtue. The work questions who truly benefits from religious devotion when faith is no longer personal, but imposed.
