Proof of life post:
I started fishing again almost 2 years ago after not having touched a rod in roughly 15 years. Post-covid rabbit holes led to an affinity for catch-and-cook style YouTube videos and I was particularly drawn to/interested in west-coast steelheaders and the fish that make them so completely obsessed. It took a couple seasons but I finally got the opportunity to target the fish that inspired me to even get my line in the water again let alone pick up a fly rod, and we managed to hook into some really special fish. Good start to 2026 and far from the last cold days that I’ll spend chasing a bite from one of these silver bullets
