Anyone else experience this? Is this the correct perspective or am I missing something?

My favorite is “promoters” that rely on bands to promote

If your "cover band" can consistently draw a crowd..you'd book at a club. It really is that simple. Yay, if you can, and if you do, ask the bar for a raise. Their constomers will seek out the next time you are scheduled at THE BAR CLOSEST TO THEM WHERE THEY FIRST HEARD YOU..they BECAME your fans by accidentally seeing you at that bar one night. It's just how bar gigs work.

Bar band value = alcohol sales.

I agree...but some bands are obviously more popular for whatever reason and will draw a larger crowd! 🔥👏🙌

Let’s go back to basics, if the food tastes bad, portions don’t match the price, service treats customers like a burden, and the place is dirty and falling apart, no one’s coming. That venue will stay empty even if Michael Jackson came back from the dead to perform there

ask the venue if they pay the live music fee. If they dont they are just a bar and they go out of their way to not support artist. Treat bars the same way they treat artist. Try to work with music venues only. #artistsupportartist
