“STOP COMPARING YOUR BEST TO OUR WORST!” 🔥 Dave Anderson challenges the way Black Americans are sometimes compared to African and Caribbean immigrants. He argues that when people point to immigrant educational and economic success while repeating negative stereotypes about Black Americans, they’re ignoring a major part of the conversation. **WHO IS ACTUALLY BEING COMPARED TO WHO?** Dave raises questions about immigration selection, the size of the Black American middle class, and the historical experiences that shaped different communities. Then he delivers one of the most powerful lines from the interview: **“If you can’t talk about how your ancestors fled, you don’t get to talk about how my ancestors bled.”** Is comparing successful immigrant populations to stereotypes about Black Americans an unfair comparison? And can we acknowledge different historical experiences without turning the conversation into a competition?
Saya tinggal di kaki gunung Arjuno. Malam ini gunungnya terbakar. . Just in case sesuatu terjadi. . Gue gak tahu apa masyarakat kita terlalu santuy? Gak heran tiap bencana korbannya banyak. . Kalau dikritik, bilangnya: emang gimana caranya mencegah gempa bumi? Embohlah. Karepmu!
Some evenings are about more than watches. They are about the stories, people, and emotions behind them. In Milan, we celebrated our heritage alongside Carlo Crocco and unveiled the new Classic Fusion Tributo. We were also honored to share the story of the Marie-Daniel timepiece, the first watch Carlo created for his wife, and to welcome Marie-Daniel herself for this meaningful occasion. Swipe through and join us on this journey through Hublot’s history. #Hublot #ArtOfFusion
