Reaching the editing part of novel writing can be scary...
Especially if you’ve never done it before.
While it’s an editor’s responsibility to give you all the information you need about their services to help you make an informed choice, there are things you can say when you reach out that will make the process efficient and clear for both parties!
When you reach out to an editor to ask for information, there should be no pressure to make a decision on the spot. Inquiring is just that-inquiring!
So, use this script next time you reach out to an editor (myself included!) to get the best read on whether they’re a good fit for you and your novel 🫶🏼📚
