The Cut-Out Chair is, strictly speaking, not a reedition. Although designed and prototyped in 1936 by Marcel Breuer for Isokon, it never made it into production. We may never know why, but I’d like to think it was just too progressive.

Today it’s no-nonsense characterful profile, economy of material and clever construction will have little trouble finding fans. It’s been a pleasure to be part of the team bringing this important and largely unknown Breuer design to life and giving it its place, finally, in the Isokon collection.
