Done it!! 10kg gone out the build up. All from parts I could have just used on it. This 514g saving that tipped it into 10kg has had a little thoughtβ¦
The Vetechbusa shifter is round the wrong way to a conventional sequential shifter. Push forward to go up the gears, maybe on a road car it works? It just felt wrong when strapped in the car making pretend 11k rpm noises. Shame to bin the bracket I got CNCβd up but hey ho.
Decided on some 3D printed ti lugs with carbon 22.2mm seat post tubing. Glued together with MMA adhesive. Much like a modern bike frame π€·π»ββοΈ. Finished off with an ODI longneck, even filled the bar end with lead for a little better feel.
The pivot is now under the rod, swapping the direction. Full race car now π. Might revisit the mount off the cage as that still has remnants of the A series linkage.
Old 742g, new 229g ππ».
Am on to wiring it up properly now, fingers crossed for a fire up soon enough.
