2016 —> 2026 as a life update

Ten years ago, I taught a music theory class to dancers at the University of Illinois during MMDG’s annual teaching residency there. I got so excited about subdividing the bars of a minuet I hopped up onto the barre to write out the dancers’ suggestions.

This week, I started my newest teaching role as a Lecturer in Contemporary Dance Technique & Repertory at UW Madison. Delight and fulfillment from teaching has sustained me over the last decade, smoothing out the bumpy highs and lows of performing and art making. I’m grateful to keep doing it at this historic program.

BTW, I live in Madison now! Come visit, or say hi if you’re nearby.
