This painting ‘Box of wonders’ is one of my works in the ‘Distorted Self’ exhibition by Charlie Smith London at Gramercy Park Studios Soho.
The paintings I am showing explore my transition from city living to the countryside, an investigation of self and environment that is ongoing for me. This is a three person show including Jonathan Bennett and Richard Meagan curated by Zavier Ellis; “the exhibition explores the distorted figure as a site of psychological tension, social pressure and inner conflict, examining how bodies become reshaped by environment, ideology and the unconscious.”
If you are in central London do drop by, the exhibition is open Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm Gramercy Park Studios, 25 Great Pulteney Street London W1F 9LT.
