Spirit repossessions in Glasgow. Trying to articulate my thoughts about these adventures is like organizing a city dump. Everything is everywhere. Playing arenas was never a material “goal” when I picked up an instrument. The only goal, honestly, is transcendence. That’s much easier in an intimate setting, where you can’t dodge feeling the air turn to spit… so this run never felt quite right until we figured out the move was just dedicate 1/3rd of the set to a single blast beat/drone/ improvised noise song. Thanks to all our friends and family who travelled to bear witness to something that really probably won’t happen again. Gratitude to @biffy_clyro for placing a wager with no upside (my favorite kind). Hope we reached a kid or two out there who didn’t know yet what they needed.
