15 years ago today, aged 20, I was setting up my first business.

In many respects, I miss these days.

I acted fast and impulsively, shot at opportunities I had no right shooting at and wasn’t aware of my short comings as a wannabe entrepreneur - a blessing and a curse in equal measures.

I came across this in my Facebook memories (🤮 btw) during a break at my desk, in between signing 6+ figure agreements and legal rubbish - you know, “proper, big boy, business” stuff.

The point is, thinking about it, that I wish I was as confident as I was then, now. The longer I spend in entrepreneurship, the more I learn, and the more cautious I get - red tape, legal frameworks, data, product market fit, founder opportunity fit, reports, board meetings, expensive agreements and risk mitigation.

It’s good; I guess that means we are heading in the right direction to do “proper, bigger boy, business” stuff, right?

Maybe, maybe not, but it’s just not the same as them early days. I had WILD ideas. 🤣

I always felt I belonged in business, and I love what I’m currently doing across our businesses, but god do I miss that young, inexperienced version of me that knew absolutely nothing about business - he was naive but hungry.

Anyway, enjoy your journey, it goes fast. ✌🏻

P.S. I still have my first ever business card designs on a CD 😂
