These portraits are from a private commission last year. I’m very selective on taking these commissions, but it was a good fit and when I arrived, I realized I already knew Don from Martindale (1st photo). I was made to feel right at home, even enjoyed some birthday cake with family. I felt truly connected.

In addition to capturing the group family photos, I leaned into my expertise of the single portrait. I showed up early and while people were arriving and settling in I would take one person aside and spend a few minutes with them. I left feeling full, and not just from the cake. I know the value of these images will only increase over time.

Once again, stay safe out there. And remember, Love is real, and it is truly a greater power. Don’t give in.
