I designed a logo for the University of Texas Golf Club because I don’t like their current one.
Now, Texas has one of the most iconic logos in college sports, so I thought it’d be cool to elevate it for the golf course.
When brainstorming ideas, I realized a golf tee shares a similar shape with a horn, so I started by illustrating a tee. From there I added a horn element to the end, and duplicated it to mimic the Texas logo.
For the color, of course I had to go with burnt orange, and I also added some white highlights to help bring them to life.
To round it out, I added the founding year of the university, 1883, and the state of Texas loves a star, so I added one on top

I wonder if you could make it where it’s a horn stuck in the ground like a tee and a ball on the end of it
