President Donald Trump traveled to Alaska to campaign for incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan, whose race for reelection pits him against another man named Dan Sullivan. CNN's Kristen Holmes reports.

Another adventure unlocked! 🌊🪽

Last week I tried wingfoiling for the very first time at @ventaigua in Cancún, Mexico, and I had an absolute blast! I went in with ZERO experience. I’d never even stood on a stand-up paddleboard before, much less tried controlling a wing while balancing on one. 😂

What I loved about this experience is that you don’t jump straight into flying above the water on a foil board. You start on a paddleboard, learning how to balance, control the wing, and use the wind to move across the water. Once you’ve mastered that, you can progress to the actual foil. That’s my next challenge!

My instructor, Juan Diego, was AMAZING! Extremely patient, knowledgeable, and so good at explaining everything. He even had a two-way radio connected to my helmet so he could continue coaching me while I was out on the water. That made such a difference, especially being a complete beginner.

And guess what? I actually stood up, controlled the wing, and started moving! 🙌🏼 There’s something so satisfying about trying something completely new and realizing you CAN do it.

One tip: Try to book your lesson on a day with good, steady wind. It makes learning to use the wing so much easier, and the instructors can help you choose the right conditions.

If you’re visiting Cancún, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum and looking for something adventurous and different to do, I definitely recommend checking out Ventaigua. They offer several different water sports, and you don’t need previous experience to get started.

I can’t wait to go back and try the actual foil! 🪽🌊
