Two piece interactive artwork/display โ exploring ways of making 2D painting morph into sculptural/interactive work.
Subject matter depicts the clowny entity emerging from a tv into our โrealityโ while their body is positioned in their own surrealist realm โ exploring feelings about my identity at the time and the queer notions of feeling trapped in multiple realities. The TV as a transformative space depicting images of โwhat it could beโ.
โ Pt #1: 3-D painting on discarded TV - Acrylic paint, foam board, yellow tulle, spray paint, pearls - Each piece mounted on a different plane to give dimension/ shadows.
โ Pt #2: Interactive painting - Acrylic paint, yellow tulle, pearls on canvas.
The film: โI Saw The TV Glowโ (2024) ended up exploring a lot of the feelings I was exploring in 2023 ๐
