It took five seconds to set fire to piece of paper with a focused beam from a 20 Watt laser.

The lesson here is always beware of the flammability of the surfaces your laser beams are terminating on.

Should there be a fault and the laser stops moving and remains focused, you don’t want to be setting a fire!

Another reason to have a qualified laser safety officer assessing any display laser setup.
