Where Are They Now?

Former Bison Battalion cadet, First Lieutenant Zielinski, will be the first feature of Indiana University Army ROTC’s “Where are they now?” posts. These posts will capture the journeys of Indiana University Army ROTC Alumni once they reach the fighting force.

“In 2022 I commissioned from IU and attended Ordnance BOLC in Fort Lee, Virginia followed by the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal in Destin, Florida. After graduating EOD school in December 2023, I was stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado where I served as a PL in the 764 OD CO (EOD) and XO for the 749 OD CO (EOD). In May of last year, I began working on BN staff with the 242 OD BN (EOD) and in September deployed in support of OSS/OIR as the theater EOD Task Force. Currently, I serve as the Future Operations OIC for the BN, coordinating EOD support to CENTCOM level exercises and partner nation engagements.“
