Why “Stranger Danger” Doesn’t Work

Most children are harmed by someone they know, not a stranger. Teaching “don’t talk to strangers” gives a false sense of security and leaves kids unprepared when unsafe behaviour comes from a familiar face.

It’s time to move beyond fear and teach real skills: how to recognise early warning signs, build a safety team, and know what to do if someone makes them feel uncomfortable.

That’s exactly what my Safe4Kids Online Parent Course helps you do—step-by-step, at home, in a way children understand.
