β€œI married my best friend, believing we had our whole lives ahead of us. But just a year later, I was begging a doctor to save her life...” "In 2018, I met Ritika when I returned to work after taking a break to be with Papa as he battled cancer. I was feeling lost at the time, and meeting her brought some comfort into my life... I still remember seeing her on our training day. I thought she was beautiful, but I was too shy to approach her. Thankfully, a mutual friend helped us start talking." β€œSoon, we were sharing lunches, cracking jokes and gossiping at work. Ritika was kind to everyone. Even when I couldn't afford lunch, she would happily share hers with me. I fell in love with her kindness, and the way she made me feel. At a time when life felt difficult, she brought happiness back into it.” β€œWe were best friends who loved spending time together, and somewhere along the way, we fell in love. We never had a grand proposal. When her family started looking for a match for her, we realised we couldn't imagine life without each other. So, on 8th February 2020, I married my best friend!” β€œWe went to Bali for our honeymoon, adopted a beagle named Ginger, watched movies, cooked together and enjoyed the little things. We dreamed of building our own house and having children. I even applied for a better job, hoping to give us the life we dreamed of.” β€œBut on 18th April 2021, our lives changed forever… Around 2 am, Ritika came out of the washroom, saying, β€˜Mujhe bahut zyada sar dard ho raha hai!’ I thought it was just a headache. I massaged her head and gave her a painkiller, hoping she would feel better. But soon, she started vomiting. After the second time, she lost consciousness. I rushed her to the hospital. An MRI revealed a massive brain haemorrhage, and she needed emergency surgery. Before the operation, the doctor warned me that the bleeding was so severe, she might not survive. I couldn't hold my pain, I begged him, β€˜Sir, whatever you can do, aap usko kaise bhi karke theek kar do. Rest, I’ll take care of.’” β€œRitika underwent a long surgery. She also developed pneumonia. Everyday I would whisper to her, β€˜Can you just wake up and come back home? I really
Happy November! Throwing in some color today apparently! You know I actually don't mind a bit of color, as long as the color is muted and not crazy bright and obnoxious. Like I love forest greens, navy, plum, dusty blues, terracotta, yada yada β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ #altgirls #altfashion #altoutfits #traditionaltattoos #tattooedwomen

Everything I have, every blessing and every breath comes from God. I don’t want to dedicate a day to celebrating darkness when I have every reason to celebrate Him, His love and His grace every single day
