The only thing we’ve spent more money on to date than creatine testing… is making the bars themselves.
From day one, we said transparency wouldn’t be marketing, it would be infrastructure.
So here’s what that looks like:
We’ve sent multiple samples of bars to Eurofins and Light Labs in the US to verify creatine content.
- Eurofins testing is conducted on 35g dough samples (pre-formed bar stage).
- Light Labs testing is conducted on full 50g finished bars.
Two independent labs. Two sample formats.
As you can see in the images attached, every set of results has come back as expected.
We additionally test each batch for traces of heavy metals, the results of which you can also find below.
Our production process is built around protecting the creatine in our bars as each batch is:
- Cool-baked
- Cold-extruded
- Made with a low moisture content
Heat and moisture are the enemies of creatine stability, so we engineered the process to minimise both.
Creatine can begin to break down when exposed to sustained high heat (above ~65°C) or prolonged high-moisture environments. Most conventional bar manufacturing relies on exactly those conditions. Instead of forcing creatine to fit the process, we forced the process to fit the creatine, something that wasn’t simple and is why it took us over 12 months to release these bars.
On top of that, we add a ~10% buffer during formulation to account for any production variance.
Our latest test results are now available to view through the Lightlabs widget on our website. We will continue to publish our results on our site as they come.
