I have a confession to make. I think I might have a bit of an obsession with plates.
Not just one set either. Different colours, textures, vintage finds, travel souvenirs, and pieces that somehow had to come home with me.
Because when you love hosting as much as I do, plates aren’t just plates. They’re part of the table story.

For the longest time though, my growing collection lived in stacks and cupboards where I couldn’t actually see them. Which meant half the time I forgot what I even owned.

So when I added the TONSTAD storage combination with sliding glass doors from @ikea_australia, it completely changed how I store and style the collection.
The brushed oak veneer gives every piece a beautiful natural character, and the glass doors mean I can finally display the plates instead of hiding them away.

Now the plates aren’t just stored, they’re styled plus, seeing them all together actually sparks ideas for future tablescapes. So it’s basically a dinner party inspiration board, disguised as a cabinet.
