Prodigy’s music taste went far beyond the gritty Queensbridge sound that made him a hip-hop legend 🙏 Born into a musical family, the late Mobb Deep rapper grew up surrounded by everything from jazz and soul to reggae and rock. His mother was a member of The Crystals, while his grandfather was a Jazz Hall of Famer, influences that occasionally found their way into Mobb Deep’s music. In honor of what would have been his 52nd birthday, we’re revisiting Prodigy’s 2012 interview with Complex, where he broke down his 25 favorite albums of all time. From Nas’ ‘Illmatic’ and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle’ to Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Kanye West and Rihanna, his picks reveal the wide-ranging influences behind one of rap’s most distinctive voices. Some creations are more than dresses. They are part of our story. ❤️ Dear Anna, I was still a fashion design student when I created my very first dress for you. Who could have imagined that, years later, our journey would continue on the stages of the world’s most prestigious opera houses? Thank you, @anna_netrebko_yusi_tiago for believing in me from the very beginning, for your endless support, and for bringing our creations to life with your extraordinary presence and unforgettable voice. Some dresses tell a story. Ours tell a story of friendship, trust, and beautiful memories. ❤️ With love and gratitude, Daniela #AnnaNetrebko #AtelierDanielaDeSouza #HauteCouture #OperaFashion #MadeInItaly
