Live looping and strings show this past February 🌸

It honestly feels weird posting about this, given everything happening right now in our country and our world. I’d like to believe that this art we make is pushing the world towards a slightly brighter direction, but in the face of so much tragedy, it feels really difficult to do so.

I’ve been finding some solace in a book I’ve been reading called Orwell’s roses. “Vermeer worked in a turbulent, war-plagued time, and that the pressure of all that violence is what those paintings are all about, but that they are about it by being its opposite, about the peace we crave in times of war, the stillness and uproar, about the persistence of the every day and its beauty”.

let us continue to help each others in whatever ways we can, but never forget the beautiful things in life that energize us to keep going through so much uncertainty.
