Two gyms, one heart 💙🩷

Juliet, Piper, and Felicity were at the same competition this weekend! Though they may have been representing different gyms, they came together in friendship and supported each other. These girls uplifted and encouraged each other, and I’m so proud of their friendships. This is what it’s all about!

OCTOBER 16, 1995. A DAY THAT CHANGED HISTORY. 31 years ago, hundreds of thousands of Black men gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for the historic Million Man March, inspired and convened by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Minister Farrakhan has described the divine inspiration behind the march as a call from Allah for Black men to rise to a higher level of consciousness, atonement, reconciliation, and responsibility. What emerged was more than a march. It was a spiritual awakening. On this Holy Day of Atonement, Black men came together to examine themselves, reconcile with one another, and accept responsibility for their families, communities, and the future of our people. In a society that has historically sought to divide Black men and fracture our families, that day demonstrated the power of unity and collective purpose. Men from different backgrounds stood shoulder to shoulder, united by a shared commitment to something greater than themselves. Atonement meant taking accountability. Reconciliation meant healing our divisions. Responsibility meant understanding that the liberation of our people requires discipline, sacrifice, moral courage, and service. The significance of that gathering extended far beyond the National Mall. It challenged Black men to become better fathers, brothers, leaders, and builders. It reminded us that our strength is not merely in our numbers, but in our character, our unity, and our willingness to sacrifice for generations yet unborn. Few gatherings in American history have carried such profound spiritual and cultural significance. The march lasted a day, but its message continues to resonate across generations. The true measure of the Million Man March is not simply how many men showed up, but how faithfully we carry its principles forward. The work continues. We must atone. We must reconcile. We must take responsibility and rebuild what has been broken. Long live the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Long live the spirit of the historic Million Man March. May we never forget what is possible when Black men answer the call to truth, unity, and responsibility. October 16, 1995. Never forgotten.
