Jio Platforms’ much-anticipated IPO is reportedly attracting massive interest from institutional investors, with bids worth around ₹2.5 lakh crore against an issue size of ₹30,213 crore. This translates to demand of more than eight times the institutional portion of the offering, highlighting the scale of investor interest in the company’s potential market debut. The reported demand comes as Jio Platforms prepares to enter the public markets after transforming India’s telecom and digital services landscape. With more than 52 crore telecom subscribers and a growing presence across connectivity and digital services, the company’s IPO is drawing attention as a major milestone for India’s capital markets. If the figures hold, the institutional response would represent a significant level of demand relative to the shares on offer. However, institutional bidding is only one part of the IPO process, and the final subscription figures will depend on the official data released during the offering. The reported numbers should therefore be treated as provisional until confirmed by the company or exchange disclosures.
