✍️ : “Back in the film era, without a tripod and in low light, ISO was our last stand to save shutter speed and exposure. Even then, ISO 2,000 was the limit. Now, with advanced electronics, we witness ISO 64,000, with textures even cleaner than the old ISO 2,000. As the boundaries between creation and processing blur, I find myself becoming numb to this ‘unrealistic reality.’”
“기계식 필름카메라 시절, 트라이포드도 없고 빛 조차 부족할 때 ISO는 셔터스피드와 프레임 밝기를 보완하는 최후의 보루였다. 그렇다 해도 기껏해야 ISO 2,000. 전자식 광학기술이 발전하며 ISO 64,000을 구경하게 된다. 질감은 사실 그 옛날 ISO 2,000 보다도 좋기만 하다. 이렇게 창작과 가공의 경계가 하나 둘 허물어지게 될까? ‘비현실적 현실’에 점점 더 무뎌지게 된다.”
