South African comedian Majimbo has addressed strangers who have allegedly been calling her a junkie, firmly denying ever using drugs.

In a statement, Majimbo said that dressing however she chooses and living life on her own terms should not be taken as evidence of drug use or mental illness

She also expressed disappointment over the assumptions people make based on her appearance, especially given that many young people look up to her.
