I knew the process I wanted to go through when I created this collection, but I never really knew that’d it’d get to where it’s at. The abstract represented my emotion, the objects would represent what’s on my mind, and I didn’t really realize how important the figures were until later. This collection of paintings means a whole lot to me. I wish I could brag and say it was all intentional, but it wasn’t. It started off as an AP portfolio and it grew into what it is as that year went on. A couple months in, I realized I was capturing the parts of my life that I would’ve forgotten without the art. There’s so much that’s come out of this, and I’ve been spending almost a year writing about what it all was.
