I knew the process I wanted to go through when I created this collection, but I never really knew that’d it’d get to where it’s at. The abstract represented my emotion, the objects would represent what’s on my mind, and I didn’t really realize how important the figures were until later. This collection of paintings means a whole lot to me. I wish I could brag and say it was all intentional, but it wasn’t. It started off as an AP portfolio and it grew into what it is as that year went on. A couple months in, I realized I was capturing the parts of my life that I would’ve forgotten without the art. There’s so much that’s come out of this, and I’ve been spending almost a year writing about what it all was.

If you arrange the paintings correctly, theres a story hidden in there

Each piece is proof of something I knew existed but couldn’t prove

“Untitled.”

I finished this one at the last minute during my senior year. As much as I understand what’s going on In this piece, I can’t really put words to what it is. I made this one sometime during April 2025 before I painted whirlwinds, but I didn’t finish it until after. Rihanna was the reference, but I never really had the time to actually make it look like her. If I’d started it a year before, I probably wouldn’t have stopped working on it until I got everything perfect. Somehow I like it more now that I didn’t get it to that standard. This is one of my favorites out of that series of paintings, It was one of a few pieces that I had hung up in my room before I moved. by @madefxrmax

Crazy that it took me this long to post this. It’s one of the first pieces I’ve ever done, and the only one that took me well over 45 hours to do. I hid a lot of detail in this so there’s a lot to look at… I remember painting this sitting an inch away from the canvas board while I tried to get every little detail correct. The whole idea was that I was convinced I could paint like all the famous artists i knew about, and I wanted to include all of my ideas on one piece. A lot of me wants to get back to painting like this but I’m not 100% sure whether I’m up to it yet. This is definitely one of the favorites tho, even though it still feels a little weird to hang up. by @madefxrmax
