When the signs are all around the high performer will they listen? The work stress is out of control. It is consuming every waking…and sleeping moment. Those around them, like their work bestie are noticing. At first the high performer chalks it up to normal exhaustion. But as the signs grow more glaring, like hair loss, sever acid reflux and physical pain, they begin to wonder if this job is taking a real toll on their health. Ever experience this? If so, let this be your reminder that no job is worth running you into the ground!

When I tell you that literally every single one of these symptoms happened to me during the first quarter of this year when they were making me compete for the “head of” role… including requiring me to work every single day of an international vacation… before hiring someone from outside the organization for the role

No job is worth destroying your life for. They won’t even think for a sec before replacing you

The involuntary eye twitch is definitely when I know it's time to take my escape plan seriously. I hate how I've had so many crappy jobs I can track the long slide from offer letter to resignation letter like the passing of the seasons.

“I just need to get through this week” I say to myself over and over again.

They didn’t push too hard. They just stayed in something their body already rejected.

My job is so toxic, like 20-30 legacy people have quit. I've gone through 3 bosses in a month. It's horrible.

So thankful to work with an org. that actually listens when you tell them you’re feeling the burnout coming on!

Remember loyalty to a company doesnt pay off. You're just a number to them. They like to exploit people who are high performers that don't have strong work life balance.

If you don’t heed the subtle signs, the body will one day pull the rug from under you and make you stop and listen. Fact checked. You are only a number to these companies. Also fact checked
