@witchoteast - stage time 9:10pm. Witch Of The East is an Industrial Bass, Witch House, and Experimental Industrial project created by UK-based artist and producer Aeris Houlihan. Combining industrial aggression, witch house atmosphere, and rave energy, the project explores identity, power, alienation, and survival through hypnotic vocals and emotionally direct songwriting.
Every element of @witchoteast is self-created. As a professional mixing and mastering engineer hired by other artists, Aeris brings technical precision and creative vision to her own work, maintaining complete control over production, visuals, and artistic direction. The sound is cinematic and deconstructed—moving from high-energy breakbeats to slow, emotional dirges, with vocals that are calm and intimate rather than theatrical.
While Aeris maintains full creative control as producer and engineer, recent work includes collaboration with her twin sister Alice Houlihan on vocals and co-production, and bassist Joe Scotcher, whose contributions add textural depth to both recordings and live performances.
"For cis audiences, I hope my music shakes them awake—consider it a lovingly aggressive wake-up call," Aeris told PRS for Music M Magazine. "For my fellow trans people, I want my music to be armour; a rallying cry; a glitter-drenched battle anthem. I want them to feel unstoppable, even when the world tells them to sit down and behave."
Visually, the project is as compelling as it is sonically. Drawing from gothic horror, surrealism, and cinematic framing, the aesthetic uses shadow, red and black tones, and haunted textures to create a recognisable and immersive world. Music videos, photography, and digital presence are carefully curated to maintain a cohesive identity.
,Witch of the East has authentically built a loyal, engaged community. The audience is alternative, goth, queer-inclusive, and artistically minded—people who connect deeply with the project's themes and authenticity.
Live performances have included O2 Academy venues and support slots for Mareux, EKKSTACY, and Nova Twins.
