I’m guessing I can confess to you I think Eric Clapton is a shitty guitar player. I’m picky that way. If Jimi asked me to tune my guitar, I’d get off me arrogant arse and do it. My ex did it for his partner all the time. They had different skill sets. My ex ear Juilliard and his partner was the great showman. They had so much fun together. I forgot my ex was a guitar player because he was tasteful and didn’t play like a mosquito and step all over everyone. I hate guitar over-players and because I accidentally asked a human to marry me, not remembering he was a guitar player, (and not a terrible one,) I inadvertently committed myself to a life named +1 listening to so many terrible musicians and occasionally discovering someone brilliant! Not that “i” personally “discovered” anyone, my ex would get booked to open for them, and because he’s from Kalamazoo I had to buy him a car and because no one else had a car, we had to pick up everyone all their gear, and load in and soundncheck through everyone and then chill and then everyone would play and then everyone would chat and then everyone had to load out & Jay would have to remember where he parked and I’d sit on the gear while the guys tried to find the car … and then we’d run into Dennis Diken, so we’d have breakfast. North that I objected to. I spoke with many interesting people and spent enough hours sitting at the bar while the boys were doing their thing I became a beer snob, low alcohol content, low hops and if you don’t know how to pull a pint as well as i do, I don’t care if this is #liverpool or #philly. You owe me a buy back. That was foam.
