Leadership is not a title — it’s action.
Last week, I had the privilege of meeting with Senator Bennet to share my journey as Miss South Carolina Teen USA, my heart for service, and the purpose behind my platform, Rooted in Service. Being able to place my book into the hands of our state leaders was incredibly meaningful.
To be formally recognized in the Senate chambers by my local district Senators is something I will never take for granted. Big thank you to Senator Tom Fernandez for my official recognition and for taking the time to make me feel so special at the SC State House. I was even able to shake hands with SC State Senate President, Thomas C. Alexander.
As a representative of South Carolina within the Miss Teen USA organization, I am proud to use my voice to serve, uplift, and advocate for others. This moment is a reminder that leadership begins with a willingness to show up and make a difference.
