Tried to make this argument with people who were triggered by my comment on a thread that all non native Americans are immigrants. But people wouldn’t accept black presence in the Americas before the abhorrent Transatlantic Slave Trade. Tried to explain that buying into the slave narrative is just another way of dehumanising people of colour, but it fell on deaf ears. 🤷♂️
