Good Friday looked like defeat—but it was actually the greatest victory the world has ever seen. When Jesus said “tetelestai” (John 19:30), He wasn’t surrendering—He was declaring that everything was fully completed and fully paid. Your sin. Your debt. Your punishment. The work of salvation wasn’t started at the cross—it was finished there.
Colossians 2:15 tells us that through the cross, Jesus disarmed every power and made a public spectacle of them. What looked like weakness was actually power. What looked like loss was actually triumph. The enemy thought he won—but Jesus secured eternal victory.
So why are we still trying to earn what’s already been paid for? Why are we still carrying guilt that Jesus already took on Himself? You don’t have to strive for acceptance—Jesus already made a way. You don’t have to fight for victory—you’re walking in it.
This Good Friday, remember: it’s finished. Not partially. Not almost. Completely.
Live like it’s done. Believe like it’s done. Walk in the freedom He already paid for. ✝️🔥
